Hire an oompah band

Oompah Brass is a five-piece oompah band based in London. We are the UK's original rock 'n' roll oompah band, for Oktoberfest, weddings, festivals and private events.

An oompah band in London

The band formed in 2006 and is based in London. We play across the city: Oktoberfest rooms, weddings, company parties, private houses and festival stages. If the event is in London, send the date, the venue and how long you want the set to run.

London is home, not the limit. We play across the UK and abroad. Ask about the date and the city and we will tell you if we can get there.

What the booking sounds like

Five brass players. Rock and pop classics rearranged as oompah: Queen, The Beatles, The Killers, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift and plenty more. Bohemian Rhapsody and Stairway to Heaven are the ones people name. It is loud, melodic, and written for a room that wants to sing.

For Oktoberfest and German-themed nights we perform in lederhosen. For weddings, festivals and other parties we also perform in pink and black. Same band, same arrangements, dressed for the event.

Alex Horne has called us his favourite band. We were also winners of the International Haizetara Street Band competition.

Questions about booking

Are you based in London and do you travel?

Yes. Oompah Brass is based in London and plays events across the city, as well as across the UK. Tell us the date and the venue and we will let you know if we are free. We also travel regularly across the world including hosting the Bermuda Oktoberfest since 2013.

What is an oompah band and how many players are in Oompah Brass?

An oompah band is a brass band built around the oom-pah rhythm, usually tuba, trumpets, trombone and horn. Oompah Brass plays that rhythm with rock and pop songs, rather than only traditional folk tunes.

Do you play Oktoberfest?

Yes. Oktoberfest and German-themed events are a regular part of the year, including hosting festivals, leading games and singalongs as well as playing traditional German music.

Can we hire you for a wedding or a Christmas party?

Yes. We play weddings, company parties and Christmas parties in London, across the UK and abroad. The Christmas set includes classics such as Fairytale of New York and All I Want for Christmas Is You.

How do we book the band?

Email [email protected], call +44 7967 604032, or use the enquiry form. Include the date, the city, the venue and the kind of event, and we will come back to you.
