Oompah Brass are keen educators - perhaps it helps that they are all children at heart! They regularly perform in schools, helping to bridge the gap between professional musicians and children with their fun-packed, interactive introduction to brass playing.

Recent projects

'The Oompah Project'

A huge project in conjunction with the Mayor's Music Fund, Waltham Forest and Redbridge Music Services. 120 beginner brass players are joining an advanced brass band and Oompah Brass to form a giant band, performing bespoke arrangements including some Bonnie Tyler and Guns N' Roses! THAMES 10th anniversary

Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service held their 10 year anniversary concert at the Barbican and invited Oompah Brass worked with students from the London Borough to perform bespoke arrangements

'Oompah Spectaculah'

A project with the Mayor's Music Fund, involving children from the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Newham. The project involved performing inspiring assemblies in several schools across the two boroughs, and forming a giant band of beginners who met 3 times during the year, culminating in a performance at Strattford Circus.

Hampton School

Oompah Brass were invited to Hampton School in SW London to perform to the students and inspire a new generation of musicians as part of the school's music festival 2017.
